Dukan Gelatte

Scrumptious Weekend Breakfast

I love having a leisurely weekend breakfast that makes me feel like I’m cheating on my diet. This weekend I made my husband pancakes so I had to fix my Dukan Gelatte. It was my BEST one yet. I think the only diffence was that I used Baking Soda (which is called for in the recipe) rather than Baking Powder. The pancake came out very plump and puffy. It was SO decadent. I’ve got pictures posted of it. For those of you who haven’t started eating this staple of Dukan Dieting, here is my version:

2 Whole Eggs
1 Tbsp. Quark (yes, I found it here in the USA at “Jungle Jim’s http://www.junglejims.com )
1/2 tsp Baking SODA
1/2 tsp vanilla
2-3 tbsp Oatbran

Mix it all together into a bowl until there are no Quark-y lumps. Pour into a hot omelette pan sprayed with a bit of butter flavored cooking spray (like PAM). Let it cook just like a pancake turning over after a couple of minutes. It should be a nice “pancake-looking” golden brown on both sides.
Serve with your favorite Sugarfree Pancake Syrup.

For an extra treat, spoon some nonfat flavored yogurt on top. I also used about 1/2 tsp. Brummel & Brown margarine. My husband and I both had a side of turkey bacon cooked really crispy. It was heavenly!
